América Televisión (occasionally known as América ) is an Argentine broadcast television channel . It is also known for being one of the six open channels that broadcast from the Buenos Aires metropolitan area .

The station was inaugurated on June 25, 1966 and is owned by Grupo América and the Argentine businessman Claudio Belocopitt.
